Excellent built quality

This rod is exceptionally well made. Action appears on the money with normal testing, the finish is flawless and the eyelets are the straightest I may have ever seen. Cork handle is high quality and there’s just enough of it. The balance is excellent when paired with a Diawa Procyon Al spinning reel. Full disclosure I have not had it on the water yet as my wife just gave birth to our first baby. I have no doubts however it will perform extremely well.

I wanted to like it

The rod is extremely flexible. I have several ultra light rods, none of them are as flexible as this one. The thing I don't like about it is it has a bounce feeling to it as you reel, it's like a vibration. I don't think it's a problem with the rod. The rod looks very well made and I would buy another Cajun if I found one with the action I like. To me it needs to be a little stiffer. I have tried it several times with different weight jigs. The thing I really like about the rod is it's American made!
