"From smallmouth to largemouth to musky, my Cajun Rods are the only rods I fish now and they have never failed to perform."

Keith Krafft

Growing up, I was a national-caliber wrestler in high school who faced a lot of pressures and expectations that I couldn’t always meet. When I’d find myself struggling with wrestling, fishing was always my escape. Being on the water provided me with the kind of peace-of-mind and excitement that I couldn’t find anywhere else. Now that my wrestling career has passed, I’ve come to be a fitness enthusiast with the constant desire to be physically in-shape; I workout at least 5 days a week, and place high emphasis on putting good ‘fuel’ in my body.

What can I say; I fell in love with the sport of bass fishing from the first time it was introduced to me at a young age. My dad and granddad ignited the fire in my heart for fishing, and from there I was always looking for techniques to catch more quality fish. For every bit of information that I could find about bass fishing, I absorbed it like a sponge. Anything that I would learn, I’d pass it on to my brother – we’d practice and utilize the new technique until we felt that we had mastered it for the most part.

I was fairly young when I started fishing local tournaments on the New River with my brother and my best friend Brady. I still compete on the New River as well as various tournaments on my local lakes, and I’m planning to fish as many events as I can in the Big Bass Tour this year! Hopefully we can win a big bass boat from one of these events, but until then our aluminum Jon Boat will do just fine.

I’m now 22 years old, I continue to hunt for Kimos any chance I get, and I work full-time to help provide for my never-ending fishing habits.

Recently, I tagged along with my brother at the Richmond Fishing Expo – he was working with the Bass Fishing Team at Virginia Tech, as well as the Cajun Custom Rods booth. Here, I met Jaesen and the rest of the Cajun team – I was introduced to the most badass rods on the planet, and fell in love with the company and all that they stood for. To my surprise, at the end of the show, Jaesen invited me to join the Cajun family along side my brother. In that instance, it was like landing a Kimo – my heart stopped and I was overcome with excitement! Now I’m proud to be able to represent Cajun Custom Rods as a pro-staff member. Looking forward, I plan to make the most out of every opportunity that comes my way, to hopefully one day become a professional in the sport of bass fishing. Thankfully, I know my brother and the rest of the Cajun team will be right there with me every step of the way.

“The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive, yet attainable; a perpetual series of occasions for hope.”
