Hello! I'm Mikey Sloan. Since I was a about a week old I have been on the water. my parents would bundle me up and go out into the heart of winter to go inshore fishing. As I got old it only got more advanced, waking up at 1 am to go offshore and catching Snapper, Grouper, Mahi, Tuna, Sailfish, Kings, you name it. When the seas were rough we would stay inshore and fish for Trout, Reds, Flounder, etc. I have been on the water my whole life whether it be fishing, surfing, wakeboarding, or just island hoping. As long as I am on the water I am happy. I have a little girl that I am teaching and training. I couldn't ask for a better student. I am often Fishing inshore and nearshore wrecks targeting Redfish, Tripletail, Cobia trout, Flounder, Spanish, and Bonito. You can find me on a Impromptu trip south to Florida to target mostly Goliath Grouper, Snook, Jacks, and Bonefish.

When I first came in contact with Cajun Rods was at a shop called Strike Zone in Jacksonville Fl. Once I saw the Trigger 841s I was pretty curious so I bought it. WOW!!! It was super light and fun to catch those small ones that come through. I was blown away when I set the hook into a just shy of 31" red I saw tailing on the flats!!! This rod ramped up power and energy like I have never felt before. It was truly my perfect balance for that fish. I then went on to catch some stud tripletail and nice trout. Before Cajun custom rods I was strictly a big g loomis fisherman for the better part of 15 years. I am not here to bad mouth another brand cause we all know g loomis is a great rod. But once you feel how light, how powerful and how affordable a Cajun Rod is, well for me there was no turning back. I have bought 4 more rods since then. Jason is amazing! As a complete stranger talking to Jason it felt like I had known him for years! Man is he passionate about what he does!! The staff was been a dream to work with. I have only broken one rod (my fault) and the warranty exchange was a dream. I love these guys and you will to!
