I recently left the corporate sales world to finally pursue my passion for charter fishing. Although, I have only been a charter captain for a short time; I have been a fisherman out of Cocodrie, LA all of my life. I began fishing with my father at a young age out of Cocodrie, LA. He truly taught me the ins and outs of the waterways around South Louisiana and for that I will always be grateful. I obtained my 100 ton Masters License from the United States Coast Guard. I am the owner and operator of Black Velvet Charters. After my dad passed away I completely renovated his 25’ Halter and named my new company after his beloved boat “The Black Velvet” in his honor.
