I originally wrote a review titled "Disappointed" on 2/27/2026. This is an updated review based on my most recent experience and transaction with Cajun in March & April 2026.

Subsequent to my initial review, Jessica contacted me regarding my disappointment with my Savannah rods. Jessica worked diligently and tirelessly with me, and her production team, to provide me two beautiful replacement rods. Let me tell you, this is rare! I really appreciate the concern and effort Jessica and her team put forth to satisfy me. I am now convinced that with Cajun, you will get a quality product and exceptional customer service.

Can’t say enough about the 3 rods I’ve purchased over the last 3 months. All worked flawless and all were ordered, customized and shipped in the same week each time. A custom rod faster than you can get most retailers to pack and ship an in stock off the shelf item. For the price, I’ll never buy another rod brand and we plan on buying more this year.

These are my new favorite rods. I can feel every bite and have the backbone to pull in bull reds.

Love the flex ~ it’s perfect for my casting reels.

Rod handles perfectly. Perfect for fishing tight to structure, casting from the bank under brush. Only thing I would change is add a couple inches to the handle length. The rod length above the reel is perfect, but just a slight handle extension could be nice. Very happy nonetheless!

Rod is a little too stiff feeling with this split handle for me.

I love all my 6’ footers that have the single short handle.

Great rod. Use for trout. Paired with a 2000 size reel.

I like 7-7.5 foot fast light action rod for drop shoting and throwing a wacky worm. This rod works great and the price is great. I love being able to customize them makes them easy to identify and grab. And the price is great. I'll be buying more.

At this point I'm just gradually replacing my old rods with Cajun Rods. The affordability of these rods for how sensitive they are, and how well they cast is insane.
I let others get caught up in expensive big name brands, and I'm happy to out fish them with my Cajun rods.

Custom Trigger 840

I bought the 7'-3" M casting rod, I finally got to take it out, went to the Sandusky River for walleye yesterday, I caught one legal keeper and one nice one hooked outside the mouth and it had to go back in the river, it was a slow day so I had the opportunity to cast and retrieve a ton, the rod has great sensitivity, and plenty of back bone, casting a 1/2oz Carolina rig w/ a floating jig the rod and working it back, I was feeling everything on the bottom, even that light bite, we switched tactics and I was throwing a 1/8oz jig w/ a grub tail, I was amazed at how much the rod tip loaded up and sent that tiny jig flying just as far as the heavier set up, even though it was the first time I used it, it's looking to be my go to rod already, thanks Cajun!

I ordered this for my husband, and he has been extremely pleased with it so far! We love that this is American made and shipped fairly quick! Thank you for the quality product and delivery.

I just wanted to say great job! I chose the custom thread for my new black bayou baitcaster and paired with my diawa tatula elite I love it.

I just picked my rod up from the post office yesterday. I won't be able to use it for another month or so, when the weather warms up a bit.

First thing: This rod is beautiful! The action, balance and weight are perfect... this rod replaces one my Father had... it's exact in every way... and the color is close too!

Second thing: This is the second one I received, USPS had a field day with the first one.... and how! I received a custom split 2 piece rod!!! Oh Boy!
Within 30 minutes the company was called, everything handled, I sent pics... replacement ordered..... BOOM.... just like that.
I will do business with Cajun again for sure... the product is killer... but the customer service sold it for me.

I ordered two Savannah 842 casting rods with custom colors in November 2025. Because it was hunting season, I set them aside until yesterday and quickly realized that the overall handle lengths appeared to be very long. I selected this model because I wade fish saltwater flats, and wanted a 7' casting rod with an overall split handle length of no more than 13.5", which Cajun advertises for this model. Both rods have an overall handle length of 15-3/8", which is too long for my intended use of these rods. So, now for me to comfortably use these rods, I have to cut the butts down reducing the overall rod lengths.

Prior to ordering the two 842 casting rods, I ordered two 843 casting
rods. Both also have overall split handles longer than 13.5", at 14-5/8". Closer, but still not as advertised. Again, I specifically ordered these rods based on the 13-1/2" advertised split casting handle length, and to try them based on all the positive reviews I read. I contacted Cajun customer Service thru their website, as of this writing no response.

Savannah™ 844: 7 ft / Heavy Power / Fast Action

Awesome rod at a great price! They worked with me over the phone to get my order just right! I will definitely be purchasing more rods in the future!

I have finally, after an extensive search, found the perfect rod for sheepshead on pilings from the boat. This rod has the sensitivity to detect the lightest bite AND the backbone to pull larger fishing away from structure. Also a fantastic option for fishing docks from a boat for reds and other species. I own five, three spinning rods paired with Florida Fishing Products Osprey 3000 size reel and two with Shimano Calcutta 200 size reels.

The rod came way late due to weather delays. The tube the rod was shipped in was busted open in the middle of the tube. A couple of the eyes were bent. I do not see any rod damage, other than that.

Exactly what I wanted

This my first Savannah Spinning Rod. I use it for panfish, crappie (sac a lait) to white trout, specks and reds, Rod is light and well balance with the reel. Distance and good hook set. I’ll get a Savannah Casting Rod next. I still like the Revenant and may get. third one

This is my second Revenant Rod. I’ve used the first for 6 years, the fast action tip helps cast 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz lures further and still has a good hook set. This my favorite rod.

Great rod for pitching and flipping. Strong, sturdy for solid hook set. Good rod for Carolina Rig
